COVID-19: Update 3

12th May 2020

We are getting in touch to update you on the developments on the revised government guidelines, its implications on dentistry within the UK, and how this impacts the re-opening of our practice.

Phone consultations

As we write this, no official guidance has been issued on how and when practices will reopen, and whilst the current advice to us from our regulating body is still not to see patients face to face, we are still available to you every day via telephone consultations with a dentist.

We can advise on any dental issue you are experiencing, and where appropriate we can send out temporary filling kits or issue prescriptions. For patients who require urgent treatment, we can refer you to an Urgent Dental Centre in the area. They offer a limited service for urgent treatment and we would be discussing it with you if we felt this was necessary as access to these centers needs to be via a dentist.

These consultations can be booked by calling our usual number 01604 638102 or booking online via the website www.eastparkdental.co.uk/appointments

Oral hygiene products

We have many oral hygiene products which we can send you so if you find yourself running low just reach out to us. Also, watch out for our oral health video on social media done by our fabulous hygienist Kate, whom some of you will know well.

Planning for the future

The health of you, our patients, and our staff remains our top priority.

We are working hard to put in place a variety of plans to ensure everyone’s safety once we are allowed to reopen. These plans include accessing all of the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring social distancing within our public and staff areas, and longer opening hours.

We feel confident that when restrictions lift we will be coming back prepared to adapt and look forward to connecting with you all again.
